Maharashtrians, rejoice! The Ather 450 has become more affordable by Rs 24,500 in the state. The new starting price is Rs 1.03 lakh. For a detailed price breakup, check out our story.

Ather Energy has revealed its latest prices, following the revised FAME II scheme. Both Ather 450X and Ather 450 Plus are now Rs 14,500 less expensive than before. Take a look at the price list for major cities.

Ather Energy expanded its network yet again in April 2021. The 450X is now available in Delhi as well as Jaipur.

In the same month, Ather Energy had also set up 10 new charging stations in Mumbai to curb range anxiety. In total, there are 129 Ather grids in India. These charging points are open to other EV users as well, apart from Ather 450X riders. That too for free until September 2021.
Ather also offers assured buyback for both models at the end of three years. Customers are eligible to get Rs 70,000 for the 450 Plus and Rs 85,000 for the 450X, as part of the buyback scheme. You can head here to read more about it.

Ather 450X Engine

The Ather 450X uses a 6kW 26Nm Permanent Magnet Synchronous (PMS) Motor linked to a new 21, 700 cell setup in the lithium-ion battery pack and Battery Management System (BMS). It offers a claimed range of 70km in Ride mode and 85km in Eco. The Ather 450X can accelerate from 0-40kmph in 3.41 seconds in Warp mode.

Ather 450X Variants

Ather currently offers the 450 in two variants: 450 Plus and 450X. The Plus variant offers a maximum range of 70km while the 450X gets 85km. The 450 Plus makes 5.4kW peak power and 22Nm of torque and the 450X develops 6kW and 26Nm. Last but not the least, the Ather has updated the bikes with Bluetooth connected call alerts and music control only for the 450X.

Ather 450X Design

Ather Energy has taken a rather futuristic approach with the overall design of the 450X. It’s a practical e-scooter with a sporty look. From its front apron-mounted LED headlight to the sleek body cladding, everything adds up well and fits perfectly on the scooter.

Ather 450X Features

Being a smart scooter, the Ather 450X gets a truckload of features, from LED lights all around to connectivity and intelligent features such as in-built Google Maps navigation and digital document storage. All these features can be accessed on the 7-inch colour touchscreen which has been updated with a 1.3 GHz Snapdragon processor and built on an Android Open Source operating system. The latest updates from Ather include Bluetooth connection based music and call controls. Moreover, the 450X comes with integrated 4G LTE SIM connectivity.

    Test drive taken.Although the looks of vehicle are good but the scooter running noise are too much for an electric scooter.Whoever has taken a test ride on any other electric scooter is probably more likely to buy other electric scooter.The price of scooter is also too much compare to activa and how does a company justify the on-road price of 1.18 lakh and 1.38 lakh after a maharashtra govt subsidy of around rs.65000/-.

  • Vehicle looks premium riding comfort is too good that i never thought i was riding an electric but the cons of the vehicle is so much than the pros first the price is too high but ok we bought that we need electric and a premium class but there is any premium provided nothing expect the price i thrice went for headstock problem within 2000 km and still there is no solution found then the range is not that accurate of what they say for family user must reconsider before buying as there is no footrest for pillion rider even you can’t buy it from after market becoz if you failed in placement of footrest then you might lose the warranty ather is not that worth the money wait for few more companies to come

  • You are eligible for Fame II incentive of Rs29,000/- from Govt. But you will not get it. Ather Energy will give you some fake additional charges invoice for that amount and they claim the subs6from Govt. You will NOT GET anything.
  • I paid 1.74 lakh on March 2021for Ather 450x (kerala)I hope we won't get any subsidy. Due to lockdown I have not received the vehicle so far...but they call me on June 11 th for otp to claim subsidy for them on my name.
  • Actually the subsidy is for Customers but the Ather company is not giving to them, somebody take action regarding this
