Suzuki Access 125 Latest Updates

Suzuki has updated the Access 125 with new colours. The standard variant of the scooter is now available in two new colour schemes: Metallic Dark Greenish Blue and Metallic Matte Black. On the other hand, the variant with smartphone connectivity is now offered in Glossy Grey colour scheme. That said, there's no change in the prices.

Suzuki Access 125 Engine

The Suzuki Access 125 BS6 comes with a 124cc single-cylinder air-cooled fuel-injected engine which churns out 8.7PS at 6750rpm and 10Nm at 5500rpm. Comparatively, the BS4-compliant Suzuki Access 125 generates the same amount of power but at 250rpm later and 0.2Nm more torque at 500rpm earlier. The engine is paired with a CVT unit. The Suzuki Access 125 BS6 comes with a telescopic front fork and a single shock absorber at the rear. Brakes include a drum brake or a disc up front and a drum unit at the rear, with CBS as standard across all the variants. The 12-inch front and 10-inch rear wheel come either in alloy and steel, depending on the variant. The wheels are wrapped with 90/90 - 12 and 90/100 - 10 front and rear tubeless tyres respectively.

Suzuki Access 125 Variants

The Suzuki Access 125 BS6 is broadly classified into three categories variants: Standard, Special Edition and Bluetooth-enabled. The Special Edition comes with chromed-out circular rear view mirrors, tan brown seat, special edition logo on the side panels, brown interior panels, standard alloy wheels, and USB charging socket. This variant costs Rs 74,086 for the front drum brake version and Rs 74,986 for the disc brake variant. On the other hand, the Standard model is available in three sub-variants: drum brake with steel wheels (Rs 70,686), drum brake with alloy wheels (Rs 72,386) and disc brake with alloy wheels (Rs 73,286). In the Bluetooth-enabled console Access 125, you can opt between a front drum brake option (retailing at Rs 77,886) or a front disc brake (Rs 78,786). All prices are ex-showroom Delhi.

Suzuki Access 125 Design

The Suzuki Access 125 BS6 has a very conservative and gender-neutral design language. The Suzuki Access BS6 comes with a new LED headlamp. The rear gets a large single-piece grab rail and the external fuel filler cap is located right below it. The chromed-out exhaust heat shield adds to the premium quotient as well.

Suzuki Access 125 Features

The Suzuki Access 125 BS6 comes with an analogue speedometer with a digital inset to display the odometer readings and fuel level. There’s also an Eco Assist Illumination around the speedometer lettering which lights up as per the user’s riding style. This feature gives a fair idea about how one rides efficiently. Another notable feature is the LED headlamp, which is standard across all the variants in the BS6-compliant version. The scooter also comes with the Suzuki Easy Start System which ensures the engine cranks up at a touch of the starter button. For added practicality, there’s an apron-mounted cubby hole that can hold a half-litre water bottle, and an optional USB charger right next to it. The under-seat storage stands at 21.8 litres and for better convenience, it now comes with an external fuel filler instead of a conventional underseat fuel filler cap. As far as safety is concerned, it gets a combined braking system as standard. The scooter is available in both alloy wheels and steel wheels.

Suzuki Access 125 Competitors

The Suzuki Access 125 BS6 primarily rivals the Honda Activa 125 BS6, Yamaha Fascino 125 FI, TVS Jupiter and the Hero Destini 125 BS6 in the 125cc segment.

22/02/2022 completed 3 years with my bs4 suzuki access 125cc scooter, And believe it or not it is the best 125cc scooter that you can get in the indian market.Overall ride quality and performance are a blend of pure ride and comfort. The riding posture is adequate for all types of riders. It is quite compact which gives you the confidence for better maneuverability. In 3 years i have not felt even a single vibration coming from the scooter. My daily commute is 60km and the scooter tends to deliver me the average for the same which is quite nice for a powerful 125cc scooter and better than most 110cc scooters available in the markets.Cons: one disadvantage that i personally feel is that access can get more weight because sometimes on high speeds plus on bumpy roads the scooter tends to get disbalance and most of the time on speed-breakers it jumps.Overall after-sale service is also great from suzuki. They wisely treat customers but sometimes take a lot more time to service. Conclusion: if you really want to get a punchy performance from your access 125 then get it timely serviced (between every 2500km-3000km).

  • Today 18/03/2022 i have completed 1 year of my access bs6 variant.I am really happy from bottom of my heart as my access is very much perfect for the city rides at mileage, Pickup and comforts never felt any difficulty so far done with 8200kms.I am totally satisfied with suzuki access bs6.

  • The scooter is not that good i bought the scooter on march 2020 in this 2years i rode only 10k kms now am getting engine sound when i ask service center they say it will cist 12 to 13k for repairs.Scooter is not that good as promoted so be careful before you buy.

  • A super smooth ride to get used to in the peak times at city giving you a good comfort and also good on long routes.Totally hassle free and cost efficient.

Must Read Questions & Answers Before Buying Access 125

Q. Where will the spare parts be available and what is the mileage?
  • For the availability and prices of the spare parts, we'd suggest you to connect with the nearest authorized service center. Click on the link and select your desired city for service centers. On the other hand, the mileage of Suzuki Access 125 is 57.2 2 kmpl. This is the claimed ARAI mileage for all the variants of Access 125.
Q. What is the mileage of Activa 6g and Access 125?
  • The mileage of Honda Activa 6G is 60 Kmpl. This is the claimed ARAI mileage for all the variants of Activa 6G. On the other hand, the mileage of Suzuki Access 125 is 57.2 2 kmpl. This is the claimed ARAI mileage for all the variants of Access 125.
Q. Can the tyre of Access 125 BS6 be upgraded to 110/90/ 10?
  • You may go for a big sized tyre but upsizing the size of a tyre is increasingly becoming an obsession with people to create an added visual appeal to their scooter. Moreover, It is advisable to go for an upgrade anywhere between the 3% margin for better performance and handling, increased grip and creating a visual appeal. Do take note that upsizing the wheels and tyres may decrease the fuel efficiency of the scooter and may result in a speedometer error on the scooter if upsizing is not correct.
More Questions
Q. I had a confusion between Ntorq and Activa 125 BS6, which should I buy. I am getting a relevant answer on Internet which is best?
  • I have a tvs ntorq race edition and the mileage really sucks.I hardly get a mileage of 32 kmpl and also there are many problems as reported by many users of ntorq including starting problem. The features of instrument cluster are also useless and not practical. The seat is very small and uncomfortable for a pillion. The body is of low quality fiber not of ABS quality or metal. If you need performance go for a bike instead of a scooter because scooter is for practicality not for performance. So for long term activa is a 100% safer option. Suzuki burgman street and access are also great options and value for money as they are comfortable and practical scooter, most importantly they are very fuel efficient. I am also planning to sell my ntorq and buy a burgman street because for performance I already have a duke 250.
  • Riding ntorq gives you enthernal feel that you wont get in activa...activa is for mileage and Ntorq is for speed...activa looks like ordinary scooter where as ntorq looks very sporty...depends on what you are looking for in a scooter..Ntorq is made up of fibre but not bad quality ..mileage depends on road and how you ride it...its good when road is good..
  • Activa 125 bs6 is a safer option as compared to ntorq.the built quality and mileage is better on activa 125. so go for activa blindly.

Q. I have heard that the fuel caps and seats on the Activa bs6 scooter did not open properly after a few months of use. Is this right or wrong ? I decide to buy a scooter within a budget of 1 lakh. Please suggest me which scooter is the best Activa or Access or Jupiter or Dio or Facino? I hope for your suggestion sir.
  • Activa 6g and Jupiter bs6 both are very good..u are not buying any inferior one...check both the scooters in showroom and ask for a test drive..buy the one which you feel more comfortable... Avoid acess
  • ACCESS IS THE BEST IN ITS CLASS .NO NEED TO AVOID .THIS IS MORE SUPERIOR THAN OTHERS.
  • But they can solve your problem if you face it's a manufacturing problem for every 100 or 1000 bikes in every model

Q. Which is Best comfortable Activa or access or Aprilia?
  • Selecting between the Activa 125, Suzuki Access 125 and Aprilia SR 125 would depend on certain factors such as your budget, fuel type preference, maintenance costs, usability, etc. Honda Activa 125 gets an ACG silent starter, Offers 13 per cent (claimed) better fuel efficiency, Comes with Idling Stop System. It might not be thrilling to ride but with an extensive feature list, the Activa 125 ticks all the boxes of a family-oriented 125cc scooter. Suzuki Access 125 offers superb ride quality, a refined engine and manages to make the same power as before despite being BS6 compliant whereas seating comfort is always one of the top priorities while opting for a scooter. And on that front the Aprilia SR 125 is kind of a mixed bag. The seat is still a bit on the higher side. Moreover, we would suggest you take a test ride before making the final decision.
