Jeep Compass Trailhawk Latest Updates

Jeep has launched the Compass Trailhawk SUV in India at a price tag of Rs 30.72 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). It is basically a rugged off-roading version of the Compass. Its major enhancements include revised bumpers, raised suspension, unique 17-inch alloy wheels, decals and badges, a 4LOW mode with a 20:1 ratio to help crawl steep inclinations, and a dedicated 'Rock'mode, which altogether improve the SUVs off-road credibility. It will also get improved traction, articulation, manoeuvrability and water crossing ability.

The Trailhawk will borrow the standard models 170PS 2-litre diesel engine coupled with a 9-speed automatic and an all-wheel drivetrain.

Its alternatives within this price range include the VW Tiguan, Citroen C5 Aircross, and the Skoda Kodiaq.

Jeep Compass Trailhawk Engine

It is powered by a 2-litre diesel engine, making 170PS and 350Nm and is paired to a 9-speed automatic transmission with an all-wheel drivetrain. For the Compass Trailhawk, the folks at Jeep have reworked the suspension to handle the rough stuff better. There’s also a low-range drive system with a 20:1 crawl ratio, and a dedicated ‘Rock’ mode on top of the existing traction modes already available on the standard Compass (Snow, Mud, and Auto).

It is offered in a sole trim, based on the standard model's top-spec Model S trim.

Based on the Model S variant it comes fully loaded with powered and ventilated front seats, a 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a panoramic sunroof, dual-zone climate control, a 10.25-inch digital drivers display, 9-speaker sound system, as well as auto headlamps and wipers. the Trailhawk also gets black leather seats with the Trailhawk inscription.

  • Jeep Compass Trailhawk is the off-road version of the Jeep Compass. It's being an off-roader vehicle. It tackles all types of terrain with quite ease. The new all-wheel-drive system in the SUV boasts of a BS6 compliant engine, which offers improved fuel efficiency, multiple terrain modes and much better transmission and superior off-roading capability. Its build quality is very strong and has an eye-catching fit and finish.
