Pros and Cons
- Pros
- Cons
Hyundai Venue
- Attractive pricing (introductory)
- Youthful exterior design
- Easy ingress/egress
- Spot-on ergonomics
- First-in-segment e-SIM tech
- Peppy and smooth 3-cylinder petrol
- Comfort-oriented suspension setup
Kia Sonet
- Like the concept
- the production spec Sonet looks curvy and powerful. Lots of variants to choose from and even a diesel auto is on the cards. Like the Seltos the interiors don't disappoint either. Long features list includes ventilated seats
Hyundai Venue
- Does not have brawny SUV-ish design characteristics
- Lighter interior colours not available as standard
- Strictly a 4-seater
- Weird variant lineup (SX+ DCT does not get rear wiper!)
- Brake pedal feel could be better
Kia Sonet
- The waiting period most definitly is going to be painfully long

- Kia Sonet shares its powertrain with the Hyundai Venue and gets same engine options. However, if you want a more beefy looking sub-4 meter SUV and a distinguished feature rich cabin, then the Kia Sonet would be a better pick. Sonet takes an edge over the Venue with its integrated central display, driver-centric cabin, a segment-leading 10.25-inch touchscreen display, a semi-digital instrument cluster that features a 4.2-inch full LCD display. Moreover, we would suggest you to take a test ride for a better understanding of comfort and compatibility. - As per your requirements, you may go for Toyota Urban Cruiser. It prefers to be within the confines of the city rather than be out exploring. The 4-speed automatic is old enough to be finishing school, but it isn’t as undesirable as you’d think. For city usage, you’d have no complaints with the gearbox. It’s smooth, going up and down the gears without letting you know. It will stick to second gear for the most part of the commute, and that’s bound to take a toll on the efficiency. To counter this, Maruti Suzuki has called upon the SHVS mild-hybrid tech. It helps save some fuel when you’re stuck in jams or at a red light by automatically turning the car off. You don’t necessarily have to shift to neutral for the car to switch off, it does so when the car is stationary in Drive (D) too. Release the brake, or shift back to D and the motor starts up instantly. Do take a test drive in order to get better clarity. Check out authorised dealership details.
- The Sonet is ticking all the right boxes otherwise. It’s delivering on the wow factor with pukka mini-SUV looks, quality interiors and a feature list that’d make you question paying a premium for larger SUVs. It’s being sensible and practical too, with loads of cubby holes and a large boot. You get proper automatics, and the engines on offer cover a wide range of usage. If we talk about the Venue, it shares a lot with Sonet and somehow both are similar. Sonet offers a better drive quality and handling. On the other hand Venue offers a more comfort for passengers and it has the advantage of the wide service network of Hyundai. If we talk about Hyundai XUV300, it is fun to drive and have well built too. If you often drive on highways with rear seat comfort is not your priority, you may go for Mahindra XUV300. Also it offers best in segment safety too. You may compare all these cars accordingly. Do take a test drive in order to get better clarity. Check out authorised dealership details.

Value for money with excellent performance. Highway mileage is very negotiable, you can extract 18-20 kmpl on highways at speed of 80-100 kmph in 6th gear.Even while throttling it hard at 140 kmph you get mileage of about 14-15 kmpl.City mileage depends on traffic conditions and getting 13-15 kmpl is not a big deal.Drivability is another plus factor with this car, it gives you a good driving experience. (I have driven it for about 5400 km in just 2 months which includes 2 trips from Aligarh to Sonbhadra in UP)P.S - highway mileage calculated thrice on 320 km long Lko-Agra expressway, also regularly cross checked on NH 34 from Aligarh to Khurja.

Venue is one of my hard searched and engineered car after long list. Driven 7k kms, v good mileage, no maintenance car, good safety and family car. Natural engine at its best. Did top speed 140kms. However, 110kms is v comfortable. The heavy metal body and steering feels safe. Majorly, Brake Assist is doing excellent job to make the car stand still for panic braking in the traffic. I did tried and it is working excellent on safety aspect. Remember to wear seat belts must for driver and front passenger. Kudos! Check my reviews in Car Wale. Thanks :-)

It's a very good car for a small family with a max of 4 members and showing much comfort while driving. Though it's 1-liter turbo sometimes I felt the pickup is somewhat needed more. Maybe because while comparing with 1.5 liters which prior to that I used to drive.

Yes it is possible.I bought a kia sonet htx petrol engine car recently and these were the questions i had as well.As the difference amount between htx and htx+ version is 2.3 lakhs i felt it's waste to spend extra money, Instead i can upgrade the htx externally after buying and it worked out well for me.I added the below add ons to my htx car 1.2 air purifiers2.Alloy wheels3.Amplified sound system4.Lightingit costed me around 90k basically i saved 1.5 lakh with extra interest charges on the financial optionshope it was helpful.Thank you.

Canceled Venue SX petrol and waited for this and it was worth it. I got HTX diesel at the same ex-showroom price with all the additional features and latest interior & exterior. Engine 5/5Comfort, 5/5Space, 4/5 (4 persons in my family) Interior 5/5 (as per other options in the segment), Overall rating 4.9/5. The only downside is steel wheel caps not looking so great. We will change soon. The showroom guys won't allow for self-insurance/zero bargaining/long waiting if not pre-booked. Hopefully, I pre-booked the first day itself.

A compact suv with all features of a larger suv.Value for money. There is a difference of 1.5 lakhs when compared with nexon top end.But with 7 spped dct gear box, 10.25 touch screen, Ventilated seats, Bose systems, Front parking sensors and 6 air bags the difference in amount is justified completely. These features you cant experience in any of the same segment cars.Stylish looks and finishing gives a brand look to the car.City mileage is around 12 to 13high way mileage i am getting 17.

The car has been a good experience for 2 months. Delivers what we have paid for it. Ample of space and surprisingly behind is really good. There is some cabin noise and minor issues, but overall worth the cost we pay. Mileage is around 14 to 16 depending on driving in the city.
