TVS has hiked the prices of the Jupiter. It now begins from Rs 66,988 and goes up to Rs 77,773 (ex-showroom Delhi). Here's a look at the current price list.

The Jupiter is not only the most important scooter for TVS, but also its most popular model on sale. Its success can be attributed to the features, frugal motor, and competitive pricing.

TVS Jupiter Engine

The Jupiter is powered by a BS6-compliant 109.7cc air-cooled and fuel-injected motor. It delivers 7.47PS at 7000rpm and 8.4Nm at 5,500rpm. The new engine makes 0.52Nm less torque than the BS4 Jupiter. However, peak power comes 500rpm lower in the rev range. While there is a slight drop in power, TVS claims the new scooter delivers 15 percent better fuel economy. The Jupiter BS6 sports an underbone frame with a telescopic fork and a three-step preload-adjustable monoshock. It runs on 12-inch alloy wheels with tubeless tyres. The Jupiter BS6 gets drum brakes on both wheels as standard while a disc brake is offered as an optional extra. At 109kg, the Jupiter BS6 is one of the heavier 110cc scooters out there. However, its 150mm ground clearance is quite good for a scooter. It gets a 21-litre underseat storage space that can accommodate a regular full-size helmet.

TVS Jupiter Variants

The TVS Jupiter BS6 is available in five variants: Sheet Metal (Rs 66,988), Standard (Rs 69,998), ZX (Rs 73,973), Disc (Rs 77,773) and ZX Disc with SmartXonnect (Rs 80,793) . While the ZX variant gets beige plastic panels and a two-tone seat, the Classic variant features a tinted visor, chrome mirrors, a sticker job, padded seat, and a backrest.

TVS Jupiter Design

The 2021 TVS Jupiter shares its design with its BS4 predecessor. However, it now gets an LED headlight which was first seen on the BS4 Jupiter Grande variant. Other updates include redesigned graphics and a new Indiblue paint job (Classic BS6 variant). Buyers can choose from 10 colour options across three variants. The base Jupiter variant comes in Mystic Gold, Titanium Grey, Midnight Black, Volcano Red, Pristine White, Walnut Brown, Matte Blue, and Matte Silver. The more premium ZX variant comes in Starlight Blue and Royal Wine. The top-spec Jupiter Classic BS6 variant is available in Indiblue, Autumn Brown, and Sunlit Ivory.

TVS Jupiter Features

The Jupiter BS6 gets an LED headlamp and tail lamp, while the indicators are bulb units. It features an analogue instrument console as standard that displays speed, fuel level, and houses other telltale signs as well. Some variants feature a semi-digital instrument cluster. The external fuel filler cap, external pass light switch, and alloy wheels have been carried over. While the Jupiter BS6 variant gets a standard USB charging outlet on the front apron, TVS also offers an underseat USB port as an option. The new Jupiter ZX Disc variant also comes with an ACG starter, called i-TOUCHstart in TVS lingo.

  • Vehicle is sturdy but low on mileage.Considering high fuel.Prices this is a definate cause for concern.Currently gives me less than 30 kmpl.

    The mialege i get to my jupiter standard(110cc) model is 44 kmph in city(economy mode) but i highways i get 52 kmph(power mode).🙂 so in this ways tvs jupiter is best scooter.

  • I used jupiter since 2015 and still dont have any issue its too comfortable ride and ilage was awsome.

  • I am owing Jupiter right now purchased yesterday. So I calculated the mileage of 52kmpl by riding it in eco mode only without frequent acceleration and de acceleration . If you want comfortable ride with decent mileage and with less maintenance surely go for Jupiter. But If you want only mileage than go for activa if you can ride it under 40 kmph then it will definitely provide you better mileage than Jupiter
  • Jupiter is said to give you 62 kmpl.and Activa is said to give you 60 kmpl.Real world mileage Of both is between 35-50 kmpl depends on how you Drive.PS: I got 50 kmpl on my Jupiter when i rode it at 40 kmph.
