Jaguar Land Rover has given the Range Rover Velar SUV an update for 2021 and launched it in India at prices starting from Rs 79.87 lakh (ex-showroom). With this update, the Range Rover Velar now commands a premium of around Rs 4.59 lakh than before. The reintroduction of a diesel option to the Velar sets you back by Rs 84,000 more than its petrol-powered counterpart. For starters, the updated Velar features the latest Pivi Pro Infotainment setup, whose two 10-inch touchscreens control the main infotainment, seating and climate control functions. It also features artificial intelligence, a new navigation system with real-time traffic information and OTA updates. Land Rover has launched the petrol variants of the 2020 Discovery Sport Powering the petrol variants is an Ingenium 2.0-litre petrol engine(mild-hybrid) churning out 250PS of power and 365Nm of torque. As is the case with the 2.0-liter diesel engine options two variants on offer-- S and R-Dynamic SE. The SUV is now based on a new platform with minor tweaks to the exterior while the cabin gains a digital instrument cluster and a 10-inch infotainment system.
