Mahindra XUV700 Latest Updates

Mahindra has delivered over 14,000 XUV700 SUVs till January 26, 2022. Despite the semiconductor shortage and production constraints, the carmaker pulled this off just 12 days later than its original timeline of January 14.

The Mahindra XUV700 is priced from Rs 12.96 lakh to Rs 23.80 lakh (ex-showroom, pan-India). Its alternatives are the Hyundai Alcazar/Creta, Kia Seltos, Skoda Kushaq, VW Taigun, MG Hector/Astor/Hector Plus, and Tata Safari.

Mahindra XUV700 Engine

Mahindra has provided the XUV700 with two powertrain options: 200PS/380Nm 2.0-litre turbo-petrol and a 2.2-litre diesel developing up to 185PS and 450Nm. Both engines get 6-speed manual and 6-speed automatic transmission options. As standard, the SUV comes with a front-wheel drivetrain, and there’s an optional all-wheel drivetrain (for the diesel unit). The diesel engine gets four drive modes: Zip, Zap, Zoom, and Custom (Individual).

Mahindra XUV700 Variants

The Mahindra XUV700 is available in two broad trims: MX and AX (Adrenox). The latter is available in three wide-ranging variants: AX3, AX5, and AX7. The SUV can be had either as a 5-seater or a 7-seater.

Mahindra XUV700 Features

The XUV700 comes with a 10.25-inch digital driver’s display, 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system (with Mahindra’s AdrenoX infotainment software), a Sony 3D sound system with roof-mounted speakers, Alexa AI connectivity, high beam assist, and personalised voice safety alerts. Other feature highlights include a powered driver’s seat with memory function, dual-zone climate control, a panoramic sunroof, cruise control, keyless entry with push-button start, and ambient lighting. Safety features consist of seven airbags, ABS with EBD, a tyre pressure monitor, front and rear parking sensors, a 360-degree camera, electronic stability control, and driver fatigue warning. It also gets segment-first features like level-1 autonomous driving tech with Advanced Driver Assistance Systems.

Mahindra XUV700 Competitors

The 5-seater variant of the Mahindra XUV700 rivals the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Skoda Kushaq, VW Taigun, Tata Harrier, MG Astor and Hector. On the other hand, the 7-seater faces competition from the Tata Safari, MG Hector Plus, and Hyundai Alcazar.

  • It is a 29 lakh car but it feels like a 5 crore car as it has that level of luxury and comfort in it.Mahindra has made the car so stylish and sharp looking all the public are stunned looking at it.It looks totally different and stylish as compared from the photos than in real.Love this car and has recommended upto 100 members to take it.

Q. Which is the best 7 seater car, XUV 700, Hector Plus, Innova Crysta or Kia Carens?
  • Choosing the right vehicle depends highly on one's preferences. All four cars are good in their own forte. If we talk about seating comfort, both middle row seats in Toyota Innova Crysta get the one-touch tumble forward function and leave a good amount of room to get in the back. Three adults can get into its last row here but the seating will be cramped. On the other hand, families will appreciate the second row in Mahindra XUV 700 as the wide cabin and flat floor make it welcoming for three. Getting to the third row is easy in XUV too, due to the one-touch tumble function, there is a generous amount of foot room under the second row. But the under-thigh support is lacking. Whereas the seat base in Kia Carens is angled to provide support and maximised knee room, the front seats are ventilated too. But the stitching for the seats and armrests on the captain’s seats isn't up to the usual Kia standard. In MG Hector Plus, Given the amount of width, knee room and headroom on offer, adults can be accommodated here easily, but like it's rival XUV 700, the lack of under-thigh support in Hector Plus would make longer journeys tiresome. Additionally, access to the third row isn’t very convenient either. Moreover, we would suggest you to take a test drive for a better understanding of performance and comfort.   • Yes, you may install a rear camera in the XUV700 AX7 variant. On the other hand, we wouldn't recommend getting the rear camera to be installed from the aftermarket, in order to avoid hampering or voiding your car's warranty. You may get it installed from the authorized service centre of Mahindra only.
  • Reports are that soon Mahindra is going to make it available officially 360 camera kit with software as an accessory for the all Ax7 variants this year. so don't opt for aftermarket 360 cameras.. if they can provide it in AX7 smart variant, then they can make it available for All AX7 variants
