About Yamaha

Although it officially came to India in 2001, Yamaha motorcycles have been around for quite a few years before that. Thanks to Escorts, the likes of the Yamaha RX100, RX135 and the RD350 came into the country and swept the nation with unparalleled performance. Spewing oil-laden blue smoke, these two-strokers really gave Indians a proper flavour of what performance motorcycling is all about.
Years later, in 2008, after a few small hit-and-miss types of motorcycles, Yamaha truly stamped its authority as a performance bikemaker with the YZF-R15. And just a while later, the Yamaha FZ16 came onto the scene. The two bikes truly spurred the masses and got them hooked onto the brand as well.
What has diluted the brand’s appeal is changing its focus to a commuter mindset. Yes, the Yamaha R15 still exists and there’s also the MT-15 present, but the FZ series has become very bland and there are no big bikes to speak of at all.
Product portfolio
Nakeds - Currently, Yamaha’s portfolio is flooded with lots of commuter-oriented nakeds. The FZ series has been quite popular, arriving in 150cc and 250cc engine options. Both the FZ Fi and the FZ 25 arrive in special S trims. Also, Yamaha introduced the FZ-X, a homegrown take on the XSR neo retro series, using the FZ Fi as base. Lastly, Yamaha does have the MT-15 as well, the only performance-oriented naked it sells in India.
Sport Bikes - Yamaha’s most popular bike remains the R15. Now in its fourth generation, the R15 V4 is technologically superior in every other way then its predecessor. There’s also the R15 V3S which is a slightly more affordable option still available.
Scooters - Yamaha moved away from the mass market game a while back and only has scooters 125cc and above. Both the Fascino 125 and the RayZR 125 are quite fuel efficient, and with the addition of the mild-hybrid tech, they have gotten even better. Yamaha has also given India its first taste of a proper 150cc sporty maxi-scooter with the Aerox 155.
Greatest hits
Yamaha’s top five products for India so far have been:
R15 - the sport bike that turned men into boys and boys into men
RX100 - the two-stroker hooligan
FZ16 - the one that spawned the 150cc sporty commuter segment
RayZR 125 Hybrid - the most fuel-efficient scooter we’ve tested
R3 - a do-it-all sportbike: commuting, touring and trackdays
Future prospect
Yamaha’s future prospects look quite hazy. The company likes to be a bit mum on its plans. Nevertheless, as enthusiasts we hope that the Japanese bikemaker gets some exciting bikes like the R3, R7 and the Tenere 700 to India.

I bought this bike as my first bike and my review can be biased. The best thing about Yamaha R15 V3 is that you just can't get enough from a 155 cc, This bike is more than a 155 cc bike. Now talk about the pros and cons. According to me, this bike has the best performance among the 155cc, offering 19 bhp power and 14 torque. Another best thing is the variable valve actuation which helps a lot in delivering power in different rpm ratios. The look is truly based on the Yamaha R15 and looks just amazing. Now as everyone knows this bike has the mileage. I am getting 46-49kmpl by daily commuting which includes every type of drive. The features are also too good as you get a digital instrument console, which has a lot of pf information in it. This bike is a beast when comes to curves. I have upgraded my bike with 150/110 tyre sections in the rear and front. Now the confidence I get on curves is just unbelievable. Braking is very decent and never faced any issue with it. There are more pros than I have already mentioned, but the only cons which I think should be considered can be riding position, which is more aggressive and can be uncomfortable for long rides. But in the end, it doesn't matter, because when you want the thrill of a true sports bike. You know there is no comfort. I just love my bike.

Indicators are not satisfying according to with the cost of the bike, the body of the bike is also bit delicate and the colour of the bike also little bit fading after usage of one year. Apart from this, the performance of the bike is ultimate.

Yamaha FZ-FI V3 is a big bike with style, features, smooth engine. While its motor offers better fuel efficiency, it lacks grunt. The Yamaha FZ-X, on the other hand, is a great commuter thanks to its easy-going ergonomics and suspension. So, if you are on a hunt for a bike that stands out in the general crop of commuters in the segment, the Yamaha FZ-X is the one for you. Moreover, we would suggest you to take a test ride before making the final decision. Follow the link and select your desired city for dealership details.

The Seat height of R15 V4 is 815mm. A person with an average height of 5.11 ft can ride the bike with good comfort. Moreover, you can have a test ride of the bike for a better idea of comfort and ride quality by visiting the nearest dealer in your city. On the other hand, While the V4 looks different, its dimensions, including the seat height and wheelbase, are identical to the V3. So, unsurprisingly, pillion comfort is unchanged as the lower position for the stepped seat is maintained here too. However, the rider will be more comfortable here. The clip-on bars are positioned slightly higher and are now angled flatter, giving you a more relaxed seating posture which will prove valuable for everyday use and for longer rides. You can click on the following link to see the details of the nearest dealership and select your city accordingly.
